Kayaking down the Emerald River is undoubtedly one of Azimut Center's most beautiful activities. Paddling through wild rapids on crystal-clear water will leave you with unforgettable memories. We offer Sit on Top kayaks, which have no spray decks and are suitable for both beginners and more experienced kayakers. During the descent, we will make several stops where you can jump into the river and refresh yourself. For those who want to delve deeper into this sport, we also conduct basic kayaking lessons during the trip. At least one experienced guide (depending on the size of the group) licensed as a Wildwater rescuer will accompany you on the tour They will ensure your well-being and safety, teach you, and guide you during paddling.

TRIP DURATION: 2 - 3 h

EQUIPMENT

Equipment is of paramount importance when it comes to sports activities such as kayaking. It provides comfort and safety to the user, which is why at Azimut Center, we only use the best equipment available on the market. For kayaking with us, you only need your swimwear, towel, dry clothes, and sunscreen. We'll take care of everything else. You will receive 6 pieces of equipment: a helmet, 3 mm neoprene long-john wetsuit, PFD (Personal Flotation Device), anorak, neoprene shoes, and a paddle. If you have your own kayaking equipment, you can bring it with you to the meeting point (our office) before the scheduled start of the activity. The guide will assess whether your equipment is suitable and safe for use in this activity.

LICENSED GUIDES

Kayaking is a beautiful sport, as long as it is safe. That's why safety is always our top priority, with fun right behind it. But to truly enjoy the beauty of kayaking on the Soča River, you need a guide who ensures your safety first and foremost, while also ensuring you have fun every moment of it. All of Azimut Center’s kayak guides are professionally trained and licensed as Wildwater Rescuers.

Don't worry, it's quite simple! You arrive at our office in Tolmin, where you meet your guide, sign a waiver form, and collect your kayaking equipment. Then we will take you to the starting point in the village of Volarje, where your adventure begins! Towels, dry clothes, and other personal items (except passports and larger amounts of money - you can leave them in the office) stay in the van. Everything will await you on the parking spot at the end of the trip in Tolmin. There, you change into dry clothes and we drive you back to our office.
